Glatthaar Keller holds the distinction of being the first and only basement construction company to receive ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system. This achievement is not incidental it reflects a deeply embedded sustainability philosophy that runs through every aspect of the business.

Glatthaar Keller has committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2030, prioritising actual CO₂ reduction over carbon offsetting. Practical steps are already well underway: Since January 2023 ,all production and administration sites run exclusively on renewable sourced energy, with photovoltaic systems on several buildings contributing green electricity. The company has also made measurable progress in reducing embodied carbon in its concrete products, achieving CO₂ savings of 27.4% in infrastructure concrete and 12.5% in basement construction concrete compared to original formulations.

Beyond operations, Glatthaar Keller has appointed a dedicated Sustainability Manager, published its first sustainability report, and integrates environmental awareness into employee onboarding.
