Glatthaar UK obtains UKCA Certificate (UK Conformity Assessment)

Glatthaar UK has obtained the UKCA Certificate (UK Conformity Assessment) as part of our corporate commitment to achieving and maintaining excellence. This makes us one of the first companies to be allowed to introduce our products (precast concrete elements, Starwalls) in the UK under the new standards guidelines.
The UKCA mark is the new UK product marking that will be required for certain products being placed on the market in Great Britain (formerly CE European Union marked). We are accredited through the BSI (British Standards institute). BSI certification marks are internationally recognised and represent quality, reliability, and continual improvement. The BSI was established in 1901 as the Engineering Standards Committee, with the organisation’s aims and objectives including:
- promoting trade – by developing common industrial standards.
- reducing waste – by simplifying production and distribution.
- protecting the consumer – using licensed marks to identify conformity to standards.
Companies and Organisations who have experience of standards probably know the BSI for its input into the ISO and IEC. For others the BSI is known for its Kitemark that has appeared on UK products for over 100 years.
Fortunately, the BSI standards are established through collaboration with many companies and geographic regions, meaning that you are still going to get all the benefits of the Glatthaar manufacturing process. We are (still) able to offer the same value and quality which has made our company the market leader in precast concrete elements for basements and retaining walls.
