To allow anyone interested to become convinced of the high quality of the AquaSafe basements, we have decided to build a floating house on a Glatthaar AquaSafe basement at our headquarter in Schramberg-Waldmoessingen, Germany.
Data and facts of the floating house:
- Weight: 313 tons
- 130 m² of footprint
- Water immersion depth 2.40 m
- 40 cm of water under the building (house including basement is floating)
- The building is in water all year long
- The glatthaar innovation express 14 tons in weight can be used to ship the building
- Used as project study for damp diffusion measurement by the RWTH Aachen
